What is a marketing operating system?

Not an app. Not an agency. A system you own.

It's what your marketing runs on. It plugs into what you already run (your ads, your store, your email marketing, your tracking, your analytics) and points all of it at your customers: more of the right new ones, coming back more often, buying more each time, and staying longer. Best practice is where it starts. Your taste and judgement are where it ends up.

It plugs into all of these. It points them at one.

  • your ads
  • your store
  • your email marketing
  • your tracking
  • your analytics
  • your customers

That's a lot of words that could mean anything, so here's a real one. We run our own business on one.

See ours

Ours, and yours

What it does on a Monday.

  1. 01

It reads what we don't have time to.

A short synopsis of every industry and thought-leader newsletter we subscribe to, every morning.

  2. 02

It watches the channels we don't have time to.

New videos from the creators we follow, summarised into a synopsis, every morning.

  3. 03

    It checks on the competition.

What changed in competitors' ads and promotions, whenever we ask.

  4. 04

    It reports on our numbers.

A performance update from our own numbers, in minutes, when we ask for one.

  5. 05

    It looks for trouble.

A sweep for performance and tracking anomalies, run on request.

Yours would do the equivalent for your business, on your data, in your accounts. The shape is the same; what goes in it is entirely yours.

How one is put together

Four layers.

  1. 01

    What it connects to

Your ad accounts, your store, your email marketing, your tracking, your analytics. Wired in and live, not files you send us.

  2. 02

    What it learns

Who your best customers are, what brings them back, and what normal looks like for you. Not for your industry, for you.

  3. 03

    What it does

Works out which of those matters most for you right now, then points every campaign, email and page at it. Runs the diagnostics, watches the competitors, drafts in your voice. Weekly, without being asked.

  4. 04

    What it becomes

After a few months it answers from your own history, not best practice. And the more your team uses it, the more it works the way you would: your taste, your judgement.

You know your business better than anyone. An os lets you act on it: say what you want in plain English and it builds it, the way you would.

Your data never leaves your os. What comes down from us is method: when we work out a better way of doing something, yours gets the upgrade. It never runs the other way.

Fair questions

Including the obvious one.

Isn't this just ChatGPT?

ChatGPT is the engine. An os is the car. A chat forgets you the moment you close it. It has never seen your numbers, isn't plugged into anything you run, doesn't know what normal looks like for you, and can't go and check something on Tuesday while you're with a customer.

Do I own it?

Eventually, and only if the fit is right. During a partnership the os is ours to run and yours to benefit from. Owning it outright is the next rung up, it's by invitation, and it comes down to two things: you want to own it, and you've got people who'll run it once they're trained.

Does my data go anywhere?

No. Your data stays in your os, built in your accounts on your own data. What comes down to you from us is method and skills: when we work out a better way of doing something, yours gets that improvement. It never works the other way, and nothing of yours goes to anyone else. And your customers' personal details, like names, emails, phone numbers and addresses from your store, are masked before any AI model reads them.

What happens if it isn't maintained?

It falls behind. AI moves monthly, and an os that isn't kept current stops being worth having. That's the part we keep doing, and it's the honest reason this is a relationship rather than a one-off build.

Know where you stand. Then decide what's next.

An os gets built during a partnership, and a partnership starts with a read. The read is complete on its own either way.
